This kit contains all the components you need to replace the Oil Filter, which was fitted, amongst others, to 1934 Standard 10 and 12 , Flying 9s and some Flying 10s
The original fitting was an AC ZR1 Canister or equivalent. These filters have not been manufactured for sometime now and are increasingly rare. They can demand high prices at Autojumbles or on Ebay. Another problem is that it is not possible to see the interior condition of new old stock, which may well be over 60 years old. Cans that have been cut open have proven to be rusty inside, or the filter element has disintegrated. You should not therefore risk using these old filters.
This Replacement Kit solves the problem in a one off fashion by providing an adapter plate for the oil feed and return pipes to screw into, the other side allows a commonly available modern "Spin-on" filter to be fitted. The new filter fits into the existing clamp and there is no requirement to alter the pipe configuration.
